Khuvsgul, Mongolia
October, 2023
It was great for us that we were able to revisit Khuvsgul aimag on the 3rd year anniversary since we started the BUNDAN project. It was heartening to see that the local hospitals were anticipating our team’s arrival and that the doctors had prepared a list of patients for cross-checking by our project team, particularly by Doctor Boldsaihan.

Övörkhangai, Mongolia
August, 2023
Övörkhangai is one of the closest provincial aimags to the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. We’ve been always passing this province till now due to its proximity and accessibility by paved road. However, to complete the cross-country medical examination we at last made one dedicated medical trip to Uvurkhangai province.

Darkhan City, Mongolia
July, 2023
As Darkhan City is 3rd largest city in Mongolia, with good medical and all other infrastructure that is why we do joint medical examination with Songdo hospital at a larger scale. The doctor's group comprises extensive specialized medical staff like pediatric, adult cardiology, Lung, Digestive organs, knee orthopedic specialists, etc.

Dornod & Khentii, Mongolia
July, 2023
Our medical mission covered the eastern provinces of Dornod and Khentii, each known for their unique Mongolian landscapes and heritage. Dornod, as the easternmost province, is famous for its vast open grassland steppes, while Khentii, named after the Khentii Mountains, provided the backdrop for our essential medical efforts in the heart of eastern Mongolia.

Bayan-Ölgii, Mongolia
May, 2023
Bayan-Ulgii aimag is one of the most remote and inaccessible regions in Mongolia, with poor road infrastructure between settlements. In October 2020, a charity project was initiated to provide free examinations to identify individuals with heart defects. Bayan-Ulgii aimag was chosen as the target location due to its remoteness and lack of access to medical facilities.

Beyond the Limits:
A single trip to an isolated region covers an average of 3,000-4,000 km for 7-9 days, with a tight schedule and unpredictable road conditions. The team and donors cover all related costs.
Heart Remembers:
Our heart care treatment for one child costs an average of about 5,300 USD. In 2021, the Mongolian government pledged to cover 50% of children's initial heart surgery costs. Our team is raising funds to cover the rest of the requirements, as most families cannot.
