Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

(2022, Feb1- Feb7)

On the eve Lunar New year the "Bundan" team is bound to Kyrgyzstan.
  • Back starts to ache and the thoughts of sitting start to creep in after two hours of operating. The doctors will not take a break until they have succeeded. However they do engage in a trivial conversation about Mongolia and their alma mater during the surgery to keep their minds off the stiffing back aches.

  • At a glance Bishkek reminds much of the midtown part of Ulaanbaatar. The larger streets and abundance of urban parks seem to encourage taking a walk. The city infrastructure was done by a German and was considered as the most accurately planned out city during the Soviet era. The parks of the city are watered with a thoroughly planned irrigation system that runs through the major streets of the city. The city is filled with street trees and urban park thanks to the irrigation system that draws its source from the Semenov-Tian-Shansky Peak in the Ala-tuu Range.

  • Thank you,

With your genuine support Tulga Gandavaa and your colleagues Shahida and Japp, the team “Bundan” successfully teamed up with Kyrgyz cardiac doctors and cardio surgeon team from Science center of Cardiovascular surgery and organ transplantation in a such short timeframe.
